My job

Hey everyone!! Just a little update about my new job which is now actually not that new because I've been in it 9 weeks now.

So below are a few photos of hot spots and mannequins I've dressed inside our Livingston store, recently I've been put in charge of womenswear, young fashion and lingerie so I must be doing something right!!

I'm learning an absolute tonne of new stuff with this job including the importance of sight lines, colour flow, customer flow and just the basic placement of mannequins and the way they face, all of which help our sales by targeting our customers and enticing them to buy.

No day in this job is the same and I'm really lucky to get to be quite creative with the displays, the head office of Debenhams give us set CVs that must be rolled out in all our stores as they have to have a uniform appearance about them but in terms of styling we get to have a little bit of freedom, especially when it comes to our hotspots.

So that's pretty much an update of my life as a visual merchandiser so far! It's really interesting stuff and my 9 hours day really fly in because there is so much to do every day.

If anyone has any specific questions they'd like to ask me about my job or anything I do in particular leave me a comment and I'll answer the best I can.

My Graduation Ball

Hey everyone so here is a few photos from my grad ball last weekend, sorry there's only a few but we all had too much fun to be taking pictures!

The dress I wore was from Coast and my necklace was from Jon Richard in Debenhams.
Shoes were from Primark and lasted about an hour because I was a darn fool and didn't break them in!

Everyone looked so stunning!
So on Friday (3 days eeeeek!) I'll be graduating! Its so scary but awesome that university is finally over and done with.

Photos of that big day to follow soon!

I got my degree!

Hey everyone just to let you all know that last week I found out that I got a 2:1 for my degree!!

So happy with my result and I'm soon going to be posting photos of my graduation ball. If I'm going to be honest the wait for the result was so much harder than getting the actual result, I didn't really feel anything until a few days later just a bit....meh but I think it's because I still had graduation and the ball to look forward to that it didn't feel...final? I phoned a few friends and they seemed to feel the same way, the degree result didn't have such a feeling on finality.

However I'm now just enjoying the result and looking forward to graduation on Friday! It's feeling a lot more final now that I'm well and truely in the swing of working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, I just can't wait to have the degree in my hand.

Did anyone else feel a little bit of an anti-climax after they got their degree result?
